Pouches and attachments
Pouches are the building blocks of the carrying system — they attach to the MOLLE grid on a belt, vest or backpack and can be moved between them. Choose according to what will go in them and how quickly you need to reach the contents.
Pouches for modular carrying systems, with Snigel Design as the core and complementary pouches from Tactical Tailor and Black Trident. From small general-purpose pouches to radio, medical and admin pouches, in grey, black, olive green and high-vis yellow.
Frequently asked questions about pouches and attachments
What is MOLLE and will the pouches fit my gear?
MOLLE is the grid of woven webbing found on belts, vests and backpacks. The pouch is woven into the grid rather than sewn on, and the standard is the same regardless of manufacturer. Check the number of rows against the width and height of the pouch, and it will normally fit other gear too.
Which GP pouch should I choose?
GP Pouch 2 is the small one and is enough for small items and single objects. GP Pouch 3 is medium-sized and the most versatile. GP Pouch 3 Long is elongated and suits items that are tall rather than wide. Measure what is going in the pouch before you choose.
What is the difference between an Oyster pouch and an ordinary pouch?
The Oyster pouch is collapsible and flattens when empty, whereas an ordinary pouch keeps its shape. That makes it suitable for things you only carry sometimes — spares, a change of clothes, materiel being brought back — without the pouch taking up space in the system the rest of the time. It comes in four sizes.
Are the contents included in the trauma and tourniquet pouches?
No, the pouches are sold empty. You order the tourniquet, chest seal, gauze and pressure bandage separately under Trauma and bleeding control. Trauma Pouch -17 also has a removable insert that can be bought on its own, which is practical if several people in the team are to carry identical contents in different pouches.
What is high-vis yellow for?
The yellow line — radio pouch, handcuff pouch and baton holder — is for roles where the equipment should be seen rather than blend in, for example in medical and security duties. If you need the opposite, the same functions are available in grey, black and olive green.
