Snigel

Snigel Design is the shop's most important brand, and the range is built as a system rather than as separate products — carriers, pouches and inserts are made to be combined with one another.

Everything we carry from Snigel Design in one place: pouches, backpacks, belts, vests and harnesses, duffel bags, hook-and-loop patches, notebook covers and flame-resistant garments. Colours are grey, black and olive green, plus a high-vis yellow line for roles where the equipment needs to be seen.

A system, not a catalogue

What holds the range together is MOLLE — the grid of woven webbing that covers the outside of belts, vests and backpacks. A pouch is woven into the grid rather than sewn on, and can therefore be moved between the belt, the vest and the backpack as the task changes. The same idea recurs inside the bags: insert walls, organiser panels and loose insert pouches turn your packing into interchangeable modules instead of fixed compartments.

The names carry model designations — 1.0, 2.0, -09, -15, -17 — that distinguish versions and generations, while colour and size are spelled out in the product name. It is worth reading the full name before you order, as several pouches come in both an older and a newer version.

What the range covers

  • Pouches — the largest part. The GP pouches in three sizes, the foldable Oyster pouches in four, admin pouches, dump pouches, elastic magazine pouches and pouches built around a single item: radio, bottle, handcuffs, baton, gloves, trauma shears, surgical tape.
  • Backpacks — Specialist Backpack 30 and 40 litres, All Pack 2.0 at 10–20 litres and the 15-litre Princess Backpack, with removable inserts that organise the contents.
  • Belts — equipment belts, a light battle belt, a stiff trouser belt plus buckles and adapters.
  • Duffel bags — 55 and 90 litres, both can be carried as a backpack.
  • Vests and harnesses — equipment vest in high-vis yellow, covert equipment and surveillance vests, harness, leg strap and leg panel.
  • Patches — POLIS, INSTRUKTÖR, MEDIC, medical patch, SWE patch and Swedish flag, in several sizes.
  • Tactical clothing and headwear — flame-retardant balaclava, beanie and scarf in the FR series, plus a fleece jacket as a mid layer.
  • Notebook covers — covers in two sizes, wrist board, wallet and plastic sleeves in A6.

Spare parts instead of buying new

Part of the range exists only to keep the system going: repair buckle, adapter set for wider buckles, belt adjusters, elastic insert strips and loose insert pouches. These are rarely the products anyone searches for, but they are the reason a Snigel system can be repaired and rebuilt instead of replaced when a detail breaks or the task changes.

Who buys Snigel from us

The range is built for uniformed service — the patches for police, instructor and medic speak for themselves — but the same carrying system is used by hunters, shooters and prepared civilians who want equipment that can be rebuilt rather than replaced. The trauma and tourniquet pouches are sold empty; you choose the contents under trauma and bleeding control and tourniquets.

Frequently asked questions about snigel

Where do I start if I want to build a Snigel system?

Start with the carrier. Decide whether the equipment will sit on a [belt](/collections/belts), in a vest or in a [backpack](/collections/backpacks), and buy that part first. Then choose the pouches based on what actually needs to come along and how quickly you need to reach it.

Do Snigel pouches fit other equipment?

The attachment system is MOLLE, which is the same grid regardless of manufacturer, so the pouches normally fit carriers from other brands too. Check that the number of webbing rows is enough for the pouch's width and height. The exception is parts made for a specific attachment, such as leg panels and inserts for a particular backpack model.

What do the numbers in the product names mean?

They are model designations that distinguish versions — 1.0 and 2.0 for generation, -09 and -17 for older series. Several pouches come in both an older and a newer version, sometimes with different dimensions and colour. So read the full product name, including colour and size, before you order.

Which colours are available in the range?

Grey and black across the whole range, olive green on several of the pouches, belts and backpacks, and a high-vis yellow line with radio pouch, handcuff pouch, baton holder and equipment vest. Not every model comes in every colour, so check the colour in the product name when colour matching matters.
