Bags

Start with the carrier — belt, backpack or vest — and then build on it with the pouches the mission requires. Almost everything in the range sits on the same MOLLE grid, so the parts can be moved between platforms instead of being bought twice.

Bags and carrying systems for military, police, security guards, hunters and prepared civilians. Snigel Design makes up most of the range, complemented by pouches from Tactical Tailor and belts, holsters and accessories from Black Trident.

Four ways into the range

  • Backpacks — the Specialist Backpack in 30 and 40 litres for missions that demand a full load, the All Pack 2.0 at 10–20 litres for shorter shifts, and removable inserts that organise the contents.
  • Pouches — the largest part. The GP pouches in three sizes are the workhorses, the Oyster pouches fold flat when empty, and there are dedicated pouches for radio, bottle, handcuffs, baton, gloves and medical kit.
  • Belts — trouser belt, equipment belt and light combat belt, plus buckles and adapters that adjust the width.
  • Duffel bags — 55 and 90 litres for transporting equipment to and from missions, exercises or courses.

MOLLE holds the system together

MOLLE is the grid of woven webbing that covers the outside of belts, backpacks and vests. A pouch is attached to the grid rather than sewn on, which means that the same pouch can sit on the belt one day and on the backpack the next. That is also why it pays to decide on the carry level first: a tourniquet pouch and a pressure bandage belong where you can reach them with one hand, while spares and a change of clothes can sit further back in the system.

Snigel takes the same logic inside the bag. Divider walls, panel cards and loose insert pouches turn the backpack into an organised box rather than one big hole, and an insert can be lifted out and handed over together with the task.

Three carry levels to think in

A working carry system is usually divided according to how quickly you need to get to things.

1. On the body — what must be reached with one hand under pressure: tourniquet, pressure bandage, radio, keys. Worn on a belt or vest, on the side you actually use. 2. In the backpack — kit for a full day, spare supplies, change of clothes. Reached when you can stop and take the pack off. 3. In the transport bag — what only needs to be moved to the location and repacked there.

This decision determines what you buy first. A full set of pouches without the right carrier ends up unused, while a carrier with two well-chosen pouches works from day one.

Colours, sizes and markings

The range comes in grey, black and olive green, with the occasional detail in coyote. On top of that there is a high-vis yellow line — radio pouch, handcuff pouch and baton holder — for roles where the equipment should be seen rather than blend in. If you want to mark up your carry system, there are hook-and-loop patches for police, instructors and medical staff, and patches with the Swedish flag.

What to add

The trauma and tourniquet pouches are empty shells. The contents — tourniquet, chest seal, gauze and pressure bandage — are under trauma and bleeding control and tourniquets. Other carry accessories, tools and panels are under equipment, knives and cutting tools and notebooks. If you want to see a brand's whole range in one place, Snigel Design has its own page.

Frequently asked questions about bags

Where do I start if I am building a carry system from scratch?

Start with the carrier, not the pouches. Decide whether your equipment will sit on the belt, in a vest or in a backpack, and buy that part first. Then choose pouches according to what you actually need to take, and place what you need fastest closest to your dominant hand.

Do Snigel's pouches fit backpacks and belts from other brands?

The attachment system is MOLLE, which is the same grid regardless of manufacturer, so the pouches normally fit other platforms with MOLLE webbing too. Just check that there are enough rows for the pouch's width and height — a wide pouch needs more straps than a narrow one.

What size of backpack should I choose?

For a work shift or a short deployment, 10–20 litres is enough. If you are carrying a change of clothes, food and medical supplies for a full day or more, 30 litres is a reasonable starting point, and 40 litres when the load is extensive or when you carry shared equipment for more people than yourself.

Can I move the pouches between belt, vest and backpack?

Yes, that is the whole point of the system. A pouch on the MOLLE grid can be taken off and fitted to another carrier, so you can have one set of pouches and switch platform depending on the mission. The exception is pouches built for a specific attachment, such as leg panels.

Do you deliver outside Sweden?

Yes, we ship to most EU countries, including Denmark, Finland and Germany. The countries, shipping options and delivery times available are shown at checkout once you have entered your delivery address. If you have questions about an order for a military unit, public authority or company, feel free to contact us before you place the order.
